The Roots
The seed of The Healing Tree organisation was first planted in 1999 in Dorset and has grown steadily since that time. Now firmly rooted in North Cornwall at The Healing Tree Centre, it is still growing and offers shamanic healing, Reiki and other therapies as well as a diverse range of events and workshops
The Healing Tree (tm), run by Derek Gane, is a UK not for profit community organisation and shamanic education and healing centre that aims to promote Conscious living, thinking and action that includes healing, wellbeing, co-existance with all beings as well as ancient earth wisdom in the community. Based on 18 acres of beautiful land, woodland and river with stunning views of moorland and beyond. There's a full programme of workshops, events, healing and therapies in North Cornwall UK.
We are an approved training provider with accredited shamanic practitioner training and Reiki training courses under I.P.H.M.
The Healing Tree Centre Foundation
is a separate charity, formed in March 2015, whose purpose is to develop the Healing Tree Centre so as to educate about health, healing and well-being and shamanic wisdom and ancient earth wisdom along with environmental education and conservation of the immediate natural habitat and living in a sustainable way. It aims to support other charities that fit in with its ethos.

Shamanic Healing

Earth Keepers
Come and share your skills, learn new ones and enjoy each others company as we undertake practical conservation projects and then commune around the fire. Open to all. We're currently open up overgrown woodland rides to promote more wildflower diversity. This winters / springs work planned; hedgerow planting, stone sourcing from river and laying tracks, sitting around the fire! Scheduled for 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month, check first in case of cancellation. Contact for more details.
Shamanic Drum Circles
A monthly Shamanic journeying and drumming group for both fledgling and experienced. If you are starting out on your journey and would like to explore the realm of the shaman then come along and join us. A warm welcome to those with more experience who would like explore more within a circle.

Fundraising for Donations
2024 - This year, we are aiming to buy an off-road UTV quad vehicle to enable those with mobility issues to be able to join us on our woodland experiences and other events with challenging access. I am always grateful to be able to immerse myself deep in the woods and nature and my hope is to be able to provide that same connection and experience for those who find it challenging to get there. Please help us.
2023 £130.88 (as of Nov) from our drum circles to the Academy of Tantra and Shamanic Studies. Run by Bhola Banstola aiming to unite the lineages of indiginous Tantrikas and the Dhami-Jhankri - Shamans of Nepal. Focusing on research, documentation and preserving sacred places for the next generations.
2022 £300. This year we have been supporting Amnesty International UK in our drum circles and shop donations pot.
As of December, we have donated £300 to Amnesty International from the Shamanic Drum Circle .
2021 £60 from drum circle for Afghan Aid to help refugees.
2020; £180 To mark the reopening of the Shamanic drum circle all profits were donated to Survival to support tribal communities across the globe.
2017; £200 In the coming autumn season, we will be planting an area of land at The Healing Tree Centre with deciduous trees and scrub so as to increase diversity to benefit the birds and other wildlife as well as to improve screening and shelter. All donations from shop sales and a percentage from therapies and festival work will support this.
2015; £460 donated to Shelterbox funding TWO custom designed shelter tents each of which will help a family survive the perils after a disaster.
2011; £228 for Survival International who work for tribal peoples rights worldwide.
2009; £200 towards the Shelterbox charity, towards helping the crises in Samoa and Sumatra.
